What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address and whether you are renting or listing. When you list a property: everything you enter about it, including photographs. When you message someone: the content of those messages. When you subscribe to emails: your address, and the date and page on which you subscribed.
Like most websites we also record basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, which we use for security — rate limiting sign-ups and blocking brute-force login attempts.
Why we collect it
To run the marketplace: to show your listing, deliver your messages, keep your saved searches, and let you sign back in. To keep it safe: to review listings and to detect abuse. To tell you things you asked to be told, such as when a new rental matches a search you saved.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share what is necessary with the services that make the site work — our web host, our email delivery provider, and our payment processor, which handles card details directly so that we never see or store them.
When you send an enquiry, the landlord sees your name and your message. When you publish a listing, what you put in it is public.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your listings at any time, unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, and ask us to delete your account and the personal data attached to it. Depending on where you live you may also have a right to a copy of your data. Contact us and we will help.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember what you were doing. We do not use advertising cookies to track you across other websites.
